Making
a Podcast For Someone Special
Podcasting has become one of the most highly
used ways to communicate with people all over the place. If
you are thinking about doing something special for that person
who makes your life better than a Podcast is the best way to
go. You will want to consider what you are trying to say and
how to say it with out sounding rehearsed or cluttered. This
can take a bit of preparation and planning. It will be well
worth it in the end though. Do not just set up the camera and/or
microphone and start going at it. You want this to be special
and something well thought out. You want to be comfortable
while recording and still not act as if you are reading from
a script. There should be emotion and intent behind this special
Podcast.
Writing and Practicing your Podcast Before Recording
You will want to write out what you plan to say to that special
someone who will be hearing or seeing this Podcast. Make sure
that it makes sense and does not sound too over bearing and
rehearsed. This should not be dry as if read from a card or
monitor. This special Podcast should come from the heart. Even
something coming from the heart should be memorized and well
planned. Once what you plan to say during your Podcast is well
written you will want to memorize all the words. This will
enable you to be comfortable with all the things you plan to
say to that special person. Once you know all the lines perfectly
and with out flaw, you will be able to add your emotion into
the Podcast and make it special. What you have to say is the
most amazing part of this type of Podcast and will be the center
of the piece.
Photos and Memories
If you have decided on a video Podcast to show your love how
much you really care, pick your background with caution. The
best setting is to make a photo collection that speaks volumes.
Use cards and good crisp photos the two of you have enjoyed
and look great in. make sure they have been edited and made
into close up shots for the best viewing. Make sure that you
use a really good editing tool so that the photos run smoothly
back and forth through the video. You can always take extra
pictures of the special things you have gotten together over
the years and add them to your collection to play during your
video.
Music
The music you choose for you audio or video Podcast should
reflect how you feel about this person, be your song as a couple,
or a simple sweet instrumental. No matter what song you pick,
it should tie the whole Podcast together and not take away
from what you are saying to your loved one. The music should
be heard lightly in the back ground and not distract from the
actual dialogue. It is always better to choose no music than
to pick something that breaks apart the piece or sounds bad.
Instrumentals are great for good background music when there
is dialogue involved. It gives a sweet flow when there is silence
but does not interrupt the actual words you will be saying
to your special someone.
The
full nature of your Podcast will be most evident when you
begin editing. Your dialogue, photos or video, and music
should all be added separately through the editing process.
This will allow you to know how much music and footage you
will need based on your plan and what you are saying. Once
these are all spliced together and are perfect, watch and listen
to it carefully. You will want to make sure before you up load
it that it is exactly what you were looking for. Once you have
deemed your special Podcast awesome and viewable, you can put
it on the server. Make sure you have figured out a romantic
way to get this person to subscribe to the Podcast. Either
send them a message with a link that will bring them right
to the Podcast or subscribe to it yourself and bring it up
